taking
care of your photographs
As with any photograph, proper care will minimize color changes
and maximize display life of your photograph. Handle your
photographs carefully, preferably with gloves, to avoid transferring
human skin oils to your prints. Avoid stacking prints on top
of each other without protective sheeting between them.
Prints should be framed under glass or placed in an acid-free
plastic sleeve to protect the prints from atmospheric contaminants
like humidity, smoke, and ozone. As with all photographs,
the prints should be kept out of direct sunlight. For proper
storage, prints should be stored in an acid-free photo album
or plastic photo storage box in acid-free archival sleeves
commonly available from most camera shops.
